Certain security standards must be fulfilled nevertheless to prevent unauthorized parties from misusing your line.

The good news is that DECT telephones generally fulfill a very high security standard ex works, so that you do not have to take action. For registration simply press the appropriate button on the device and wait a moment – that's all. Every DECT telephone should also be equipped with an identification function. This means that the device has to identify itself to the base station every time it makes a call by supplying a specific randomized key.

In this way the transmitted speech data are protected and cannot be read out elsewhere. You have the option of telling the FRITZ!Box to reject any non-encrypted calls.
