Setting up night mode

Analog clock "night"

When night mode is enabled, the FRITZ!Fon automatically displays the dark start screen "analog clock night" as soon as the brightness in the room falls below a certain threshold. The brightness threshold is preset an cannot be changed. If you pick up the telephone or the brightness threshold is exceeded again, the telephone switches back to the usual start screen.

Requirements / Restrictions

  • FRITZ!OS 6.80 or later is installed on the FRITZ!Box.

1 Customizing the "Power save" option for night mode

The analog clock is not displayed when power saving mode is enabled because the display is off in this state. Therefore, first specify whether the telephone should display the orange analog clock when it is in and/or outside the cradle:

  1. Press the "Menu" key on the telephone.
  2. Scroll to "Settings" and press "OK".
  3. "Display" > "Power save"
  4. If the analog clock should be displayed when the telephone is in the charging station, disable the option "in cradle".
  5. If the analog clock should be displayed when the telephone is outside the cradle, disable the option "for battery operation".

2 Enabling night mode

  1. Press the "Menu" key on the telephone.
  2. Scroll to "Settings" and press "OK".
  3. "Display" > "OK"
  4. Enable the option "Night mode".
