Loading the factory settings of the FRITZ!DECT smart switch

Load the factory settings to delete all of the individual settings you have made for the FRITZ!DECT smart switch. This makes sense if you are going to use the FRITZ!DECT smart switch at a different location or are planning to pass it on to another user, for example.

You can either use the Menu button to load the factory settings of the FRITZ!DECT smart switch or you can deregister the FRITZ!DECT smart switch from the FRITZ!Box.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

1 Loading the factory settings

If you want to keep the settings for the smart switch in the FRITZ!Box, use the Menu button to load the factory settings:

  1. Push the Menu button for about 2 seconds until the menu is displayed.
  2. In the menu, push the button labeled "Zurücksetzen".

2 Deregistering the FRITZ!DECT smart switch

If you do not wish to continue using the smart switch with your FRITZ!Box, simply deregister the smart switch from the FRITZ!Box:

  1. Click "Smart Home" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Devices and Groups" or "Device Management" in the "Smart Home" menu.
  3. Delete the device you want to load the factory settings for. Do this by clicking the "delete device" button and then (delete) or (delete) for the respective device.
