Loading the factory settings of the FRITZ!DECT smart switch

Load the factory settings to delete all of the individual settings you have made for the FRITZ!DECT smart switch. This makes sense if you are going to use the FRITZ!DECT smart switch at a different location or are planning to pass it on to another user, for example.

You can simply push a button to load the factory settings of the FRITZ!DECT smart switch.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

1 Loading the factory settings

If you want to keep the settings for the smart switch in the FRITZ!Box, only load the factory settings of the FRITZ!DECT smart switch:

  1. Push and hold down the DECT connection button on the top side.
  2. Within 2 minutes: Also push the button on the front side and hold both of the buttons down until it beeps twice.

2 Deregistering the FRITZ!DECT smart switch

If you do not wish to continue using the smart switch with your FRITZ!Box, also deregister the smart switch from the FRITZ!Box after you load its factory settings:

  1. Click "Smart Home" in the FRITZ!Box user interface or in the user interface of the FRITZ!Smart Gateway.
  2. Click "Devices and Groups" in the "Smart Home" menu.
  3. Click the "Delete Device" button.
  4. Then, click the button (delete) or the button (delete) for the respective device.
