Using the FRITZ!Box USB remote connection with several FRITZ! products

With the FRITZ!Box USB remote connection software you can also access several FRITZ!Boxes and FRITZ!Repeater N/Gs in the home network. This allows you to play music on your sound system via your repeater and at the same time connect a USB printer connected to a FRITZ!Box with your computer.

Selecting a FRITZ! product in FRITZ!Box USB remote connection

  1. On your computer, double-click the FRITZ!Box USB remote connection symbol in the notification area of the Windows taskbar (Systray).
  2. Use the arrow buttons above the middle section of the FRITZ!Box USB remote connection software to switch between the FRITZ! products (see fig.).

    Note:The arrows are only displayed if there are several FRITZ! products in the network with the USB remote connection enabled.

  3. If password protection is enabled for the user interface of the FRITZ!Box you want to access, enter the password and leave the field "Username" blank when you access it.
    • If you have protected the FRITZ!Box with a username and password, enter the name and password of a user who is authorized to access the FRITZ!Box settings.

      Note:You can edit the account information and access rights of users under "System > FRITZ!Box Users" in the user interface.

  4. Click "Refresh".

Now you can connect the USB devices or the audio bridge enabled for the selected FRITZ! product to your computer.
