Connecting FRITZ!Powerline to a router from another manufacturer
The FRITZ!Powerline adapter adds an additional wireless access point to your home network quickly and easily. This way you will even have ideal Wi-Fi reception and high-speed connections to the internet and home network outside the Wi-Fi range of your router.
You can either connect the FRITZ!Powerline adapter with your router over your home's electrical wiring (powerline), LAN, or Wi-Fi. Which connection type is best depends on your operational environment.
1 Connecting the FRITZ!Powerline adapter with the router via powerline

A powerline connection to the router makes sense if
- you want to place the FRITZ!Powerline adapter outside the Wi-Fi range of the router in the home network.
- you want to integrate a device without Wi-Fi support, for example an IPTV receiver, into the home network via a LAN port on the FRITZ!Powerline adapter.
- it should be possible to reposition the FRITZ!Powerline adapter quickly and easily if necessary.
Just follow these steps: Connecting a FRITZ!Powerline adapter to a router from another manufacturer over powerline
