FRITZ!Powerline software does not display powerline devices

The FRITZ!Powerline software does not display any or not all of the powerline devices in the FRITZ!Powerline network. The FRITZ!Powerline software may display the message "No powerline product is connected to this computer".

Simply proceed as described below. After each measure, check whether the problem is solved.

1 Connecting the computer directly to the powerline device

The FRITZ!Powerline software cannot display powerline devices that are connected to the FRITZ!Box via a Mesh Repeater or the guest access. The following steps are only necessary if powerline devices behind a Mesh Repeater or in the guest access are not displayed:

  1. Use a network cable to directly connect a computer on which the FRITZ!Powerline software is installed to a powerline device that is not displayed in FRITZ!Powerline.

2 Installing the latest version of the FRITZ!Powerline software

  1. Call up in your web browser.
  2. Switch to the folder "de" or "en".
  3. Download the FRITZ!Powerline software for the operating system of your computer.
  4. Install the FRITZ!Powerline software on a computer that is connected to a FRITZ!Powerline device via the FRITZ!Box or directly via a network cable.

3 Installing the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Powerline device

  1. Install the latest FRITZ!OS on the FRITZ!Powerline device.

4 Configuring the firewall

  1. Configure the firewall on the computer so that it allows connections from the FRITZ!Powerline software to the powerline devices. You can find information on configuring the firewall in its manual, or consult its manufacturer directly.
