Registering a smart home sensor from another manufacturer with the FRITZ!Box

You can also register smart home sensors from other manufacturers with your FRITZ!Box, for example motion detectors, door/window contacts, smart switches.

The connection between the smart home sensor and the FRITZ!Box is established using the DECT ULE protocol HAN FUN. This allows you to register all smart home sensors with the FRITZ!Box that the manufacturer has declared to be compatible with DECT-ULE/HAN-FUN.

Requirements / Restrictions

  • Actuators from other manufacturers, for example smart plugs, cannot be registered with the FRITZ!Box.
  • DECT repeaters may not be registered with the FRITZ!Box (under "DECT > DECT Monitor").
  • Radiator controllers, for example FRITZ!DECT 301, cannot be switched via smart home sensors from other manufacturers.
  • A maximum of ten smart home sensors from another manufacturer can be registered with the FRITZ!Box.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.
