Creating a routine for smart home devices

With routines you can control your smart home devices whose settings you saved in templates and scenes by using an if-this-then-that statement. Routines allow you to realize versatile and individual switching of your smart home devices.

In an if-this-then-that statement you define a specific action that is executed when a specific condition is met on a trigger. In this case a smart home device, for example a smart plug FRITZ!DECT or a smart switch FRITZ!DECT 440 serves as the trigger. The action is automatically executed, i.e. a template or a scenario is activated when a condition on the trigger, for example a switching state or measured temperature, is fulfilled.
The following is an example of a routine: If the humidity measured by the FRITZ!DECT 440 reaches a certain level, the previously configured scene "Humidity" with a FRITZ!DECT 200 smart plug with a connected humidifier is applied.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.
