This support document is available for the following products:
Cannot play voice messages sent via email
A playback device or software (for example WinAmp) does not play WAV files sent by the FRITZ!Box answering machine as voice messages.
Cause
- The playback device or software does not support the audio codec required for playback.
Using a suitable playback device or software
- To play voice messages, use a playback device or software that can play files in A-Law format (for example the Windows Media Payer).
