FRITZ!Box 7330
This support document is available for the following products:
FRITZ!Box with cable modem reports "Internet connection renewed successfully" every 12 hours
When using the FRITZ!Box with a cable modem, the FRITZ!Box appears to clear the connection at regular intervals. Every 12 hours, either the message "Internet connection renewed successfully" or "Internet connection established successfully" is displayed in the event log of the FRITZ!Box.
FRITZ!Box does not clear the internet connection
Since IP addresses assigned by cable providers are only valid for a limited time, the FRITZ!Box "extends" the validity (DHCP lease time) at regular intervals. Each extension is logged in the event log of the FRITZ!Box. The FRITZ!Box does not clear the internet connection when this occurs.
