Incorrect times and dates are displayed in the call list

The times and dates displayed in the call list of the FRITZ!Box are incorrect. The telephone calls were not conducted on the days or at the times that are given in the call list.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

Simply proceed as described below. After each measure, check whether the problem is solved.

1 Restarting the FRITZ!Box

  1. Click "System" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Backup" in the "System" menu.
  3. Click on the "Restart" tab.
  4. Click the "Restart" button.

2 Setting the time zone

The FRITZ!Box automatically sets the time zone based on the country of use that is configured. If you selected "Other country" as your country or are using the FRITZ!Box in a country with several time zones (for example Australia, Russia, USA), configure the time zone manually:

  1. Click "System" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Region and Language" in the "System" menu.
  3. Click on the "Time Zone" tab.
  4. Enable the "Set the time zone manually" option.
  5. From the drop-down list, select the difference between your time zone and GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) in hours.

    Example:
    You are using your FRITZ!Box in Greece. Select "GMT +1 hour" from the drop-down list to manually set your time zone in the FRITZ!Box.

  6. If you are using the FRITZ!Box in a region with daylight savings time, enable the option "Enable daylight savings time" during daylight saving time. When standard time begins, you must disable the option again.
  7. Click "Apply" to save the settings.

3 Setting up the time server

  1. Click "Home Network" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Home Network Overview" in the "Home Network" menu.
  3. Click on the "Network Settings" tab.
  4. In the "Time Synchronization" section, enter the NTP time server on the internet that the FRITZ!Box should synchronize its time with. If the section is not displayed, enable the Advanced View first.

    Note:Normally it is not necessary to change the preconfigured NTP time server 2.europe.pool.ntp.org. Alternative NTP time servers can be found here.

  5. Enable the option "Make FRITZ!Box available as a time server in the home network".
  6. Click "Apply" to save the settings.
