Changing the name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) of the FRITZ!Box

You can easily change the FRITZ!Box's Wi-Fi network name and give your Wi-Fi a unique name. In the FRITZ! Mesh, the FRITZ!Box (Mesh Master) transmits the name for the Wi-Fi network to all Mesh Repeaters (for example FRITZ!Repeater).

When you change the Wi-Fi network name, note that you must then reconfigure the Wi-Fi connection on all of the wireless devices.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the FRITZ!Box 6820 LTE v2, v3, and v4 with the latest FRITZ!OS, the FRITZ!Box 6820 LTE v1 may differ.
