Can MyFRITZ! be used on an IPv6 internet connection?

You can use the MyFRITZ! service regardless of the IP protocol used. Even if you use the FRITZ!Box on an internet connection with the new Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), you can access the FRITZ!Box from the internet with a web browser or MyFRITZ!App, for example.

However, access via MyFRITZ! always requires the use of the same IP protocol as the one used to connect the FRITZ!Box to the internet. If the FRITZ!Box is used on an IPv6 internet connection, it is only accessible via IPv6. In this case, you cannot use IPv4 to access the FRITZ!Box.

Since not all internet connections offer IPv6 connectivity (for example in some mobile networks and Wi-Fi hotspots), call up www.test-ipv6.com or www.ipv6-test.com on the respective network device (for example a computer, smartphone, tablet) to test IPv6 connectivity. You can only access the FRITZ!Box if IPv6 connectivity is available.
