Setting up the FRITZ!Box for use with a Vodafone cable connection

The FRITZ!Box Cable is optimally prepared for use with a Vodafone cable connection. Simply connect the FRITZ!Box to the multimedia outlet, have Vodafone activate the FRITZ!Box, and set up telephony.

If Vodafone provided the FRITZ!Box for a home or business line, it is already activated and will be configured automatically.

The complete FRITZ!Box range of functions for internet, telephony, and multimedia is then available to all of the devices in your home network without restriction.

Important:If you are using the FRITZ!Box in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse or North Rhine-Westphalia, use the guide Setting up the FRITZ!Box for use with a Vodafone (formerly Unitymedia) cable connection. If you are using the FRITZ!Box in a different Federal State in Germany, proceed as described in this guide.

  1. Have your Vodafone customer number and activation code that you received with the order confirmation from Vodafone ready. If you cannot locate the order confirmation, you can have Vodafone send you a (new) activation code.

Note:Normally the activation code can be used several times and does not expire.

2 Connecting the FRITZ!Box

  1. Insert one end of the coaxial cable into the "Cable" port on the FRITZ!Box.Use the coaxial cable supplied with the FRITZ!Box, for example.
  2. Insert the other end of the coaxial cable into the socket for the internet connection (data socket) on the multimedia outlet in your home.

Important:If the "Power / Cable" LED flashes continuously, the cable connection is not activated or the service is disrupted. In this case, contact Vodafone.

  5. Open a new tab or a new window in the web browser and call up https://kabelmodemaktivieren.vodafone.de.
  6. Enter your Vodafone customer number and activation code in the corresponding fields of the activation portal and click "Weiter".
