Can the FRITZ!Box be used as a modem (bridge mode)?

The FRITZ!Box cannot be used as a simple modem or in so-called bridge mode. If it were used as a simple modem, it would no longer be possible to use the telephony functions and television or hotspot services included in internet packages offered with many cable connections. The majority of the FRITZ!Box functions could also not be used then. Therefore, set up the FRITZ!Box as described in the guide Setting up the FRITZ!Box for use with a cable connection.
