Using FRITZ!Box on a DSL line with a static IP address

The FRITZ!Box can be used on a DSL line with a fixed ("static") public IP address. As soon as the FRITZ!Box is connected to the DSL line via the DSL modem, the internet service provider automatically assigns the FRITZ!Box its static IP address when it connects to the internet.
