With Wi-Fi 7, the FRITZ!Box 7690's Wi-Fi is twice as fast as that of the FRITZ!Box 7590 AX. You benefit from more efficient data transmission, lower latencies and other technical innovations that speed up your Wi-Fi. High speed for the LAN cable: 2 x 2.5 Gbit/s

If you need high speeds at home or in the office, you'll love the FRITZ!Box 7690: Two 2.5 gigabit LAN ports are on board - one of them is also suitable as a WAN/LAN port for a fiber optic modem. There are also two gigabit LAN ports available. Integrate FRITZ!Repeaters, PCs or network storage into your home network and benefit from top speeds.

Smart home with Zigbee

The FRITZ!Box 7690 has a Zigbee gateway and can therefore control smart home devices from other manufacturers. This means you benefit from a large selection of lights, sensors and other Zigbee devices that you can connect to your FRITZ! Smart Home. Zigbee is fully integrated into your FRITZ! Smart Home's automations and the devices can be integrated into templates, scenes and routines like any other.

Faster than ever before: VPN with FRITZ!Box 7690

Full power for VPN: A secure connection is no problem with VPN via IPSec or WireGuard. Data is exchanged in encrypted form between the FRITZ!Box and the mobile device. Encryption requires a lot of processing power and the FRITZ!Box 7590 AX was able to achieve up to 120 Mbit/s; even a little more via WireGuard. The new FRITZ!Box 7690 easily surpasses this performance, exploiting even the fastest DSL connections and going well beyond that – in measurements carried out by AVM, the maximum speed increase for VPN connections was between 300 and 600 percent!

FRITZ!Box 7690 – the powerful upgrade for your home network

The powerful hardware platform delivers noticeable performance improvements in a number of other areas. The user interface loads faster, software updates are installed almost twice as fast and even the USB write speed is slightly higher: The FRITZ!Box 7690 is a powerful upgrade from the FRITZ!Box 7590 AX.
