Ultra-fast Wi-Fi 7

This is only available with the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro: ultra-fast Wi-Fi at 6 and 5 GHz. This is where Wi-Fi 7 flexes its muscles and ensures data throughputs that easily reach gigabit heights. The 6 GHz band also allows 320 MHz wide Wi-Fi channels: up to 11.53 Gbit/s can be achieved. If you want even more speed, you benefit from Multi-Link Operation with Wi-Fi 7 devices: The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro uses both the 5 and 6 GHz bands for data transmission.

Your devices don't yet support Wi-Fi 7? Nevertheless, you can enjoy higher speeds straight away, as many devices already support Wi-Fi 6E and therefore all the advantages of the new 6 GHz band. On the 2.4 GHz band, the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro with Wi-Fi 6 scores highly for range and speed with many popular devices.

The FRITZ! Smart Home now integrates Zigbee

The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro has a Zigbee gateway and can therefore control smart home devices from other manufacturers. This means you benefit from a large selection of lights, sensors and other Zigbee devices that you can connect to your FRITZ! Smart Home (discover the Zigbee compatibility list). Zigbee is fully integrated into your FRITZ! Smart Home's automations and the devices can be integrated into templates, scenes and routines like any other.

The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro is extremely powerful, which is evident in a number of everyday situations.

Do you connect to your FRITZ!Box via VPN while on the move? Then you'll be impressed by the speed of the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro: VPN connections with WireGuard or IPSec are so fast that you can use VPN connections at top speeds even on the fastest fiber optic connections. In measurements carried out by AVM, the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro achieves up to 1.8 Gbit/s with IPSec and up to 1.4 Gbit/s with WireGuard – strong numbers that are unparalleled and also faster than most GPON or even DSL connections offer.

The USB 3.1 port turns your FRITZ!Box into the perfect FRITZ!NAS. Simply connect a USB storage device to your FRITZ!Box and you're good to go: share documents, photos or videos in your home network, and if you wish, also with friends and family. With around 100 MB/s, even large files can be transferred in no time. Alternatively, the USB port can also be used to add a printer to the network or to use a mobile dongle as a fallback solution for accessing the internet.
