With the launch of the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable in Germany, AVM is bringing the new Wi-Fi 7 to cable connections. The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable is the first available DOCSIS 3.1 device that combines fast internet with Wi-Fi 7, ensuring gigabit speeds throughout the entire home network. Streaming, gaming, Smart Home or working from home – the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable is the ideal router for all applications at home. Thanks to AVM's Mesh technology and a strong feature set, devices such as notebooks, tablets, smartphones, VR headsets and smart TVs benefit from long-range Wi-Fi. The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable benefits from the new Wi-Fi 7, which brings advantages for the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands. Not only is the maximum data throughput increased, but thanks to Multi-Link Operation (MLO), connections can now also be maintained simultaneously across the two bands. Switching Wi-Fi bands more quickly also enables more robust coverage for all mobile devices. With up to 2,880 Mbit/s at 5 GHz and 720 Mbit/s at 2.4 GHz, the FRITZ! Box 6670 Cable provides powerful Wi-Fi for demanding applications. In addition, the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable has additional connection options such as a 2.5 gigabit port and four gigabit LAN ports. This makes it easy to integrate network devices such as printers and storage media into the home network. The new FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable's extensive features also include a complete telephone system (DECT, IP, analog) and five answering machines. Smart Home devices can be integrated into the home network via the DECT base station. In addition to DECT ULE, the FRITZ!Box 6670 has Zigbee wireless technology on board and is ready for the Matter standard, enabling users to implement a range of smart scenarios for energy efficiency, heating and lighting. In addition, the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable offers an integrated TV tuner for the popular "DVB-C streaming" function. This allows users to watch cable TV via Wi-Fi anywhere in the home on mobile devices. The typical FRITZ!Box functions such as extensive parental controls, a firewall, a media server for photos, music, and videos, as well as Wi-Fi guest access round off the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable's range of features. The free apps such as MyFRITZ!App, FRITZ!App Wi-Fi or FRITZ!App Smart Home make operating FRITZ! products super convenient. From this week, the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable will be available to purchase at a price of 289 euros (RRP) in Germany.
