Opening the user interface of a FRITZ! product

You can easily open the FRITZ!Box user interface on all computers, smartphones, or tablets connected to the FRITZ! home network by simply entering the address fritz.box or http://169.254.1.1 in a web browser. How to open the user interface of a FRITZ!Repeater, FRITZ!Powerline or FRITZ!Smart Gateway depends on whether the FRITZ! product is used with a FRITZ!Box or a router from another manufacturer.

Opening the user interface with a FRITZ!Box

  1. Depending on which FRITZ! product you are using, enter http://fritz.repeater or http://fritz.powerline or http://fritz.smartgateway in the address bar of your web browser.

    Important:If you enter the address without the "http://", the web browser may start a web search instead of opening the user interface.

Opening the user interface when using a different router

  1. Enter http:// in the address bar of your web browser followed by the IP address of the FRITZ! product (for example http://192.168.10.23). You can find the IP address that the router assigned to the FRITZ! product in the router's user interface.
