FRITZ!Powerline 1260E / FRITZ!OS 7.58

With the FRITZ!Powerline 1260E you can integrate your network devices in to your network by using your power outlet. With fast gigabit powerline you can reach speeds up to 1200 MBit/s - and you do not have to lay any cable. Thanks to integrated WiFi AC network smartphones, tablets and other WiFi devices can be connected to your network. FRITZ!OS is the firmware for the FRITZ!Powerline and includes new functions as well as improvements. Install the update via the FRITZ!Box user interface in the menu "Home Network" > "Mesh". The user interface notifies you of new FRITZ!OS versions for FRITZ!Powerline as soon as the device is connected with the Internet.

New performance characteristics:
  • Fixed: In certain cases, interference occurred when using media receivers on the LAN port of the repeater
  • Fixed: Network devices were sometimes incorrectly displayed as belonging to a guest network
  • Fixed: Packets were lost when the connection of a Wi-Fi band (2.4 or 5 GHz) was cleared
  • Fixed: The network connection could get lost permanently when devices with a specific chipset were used
  • Fixed: Robustness when transmitting very small network packets (UDP) was increased
  • Fixed: Sometimes repeater was briefly displayed with an incorrect IP address in the FRITZ!Box
  • Fixed: Wi-Fi connection was only established on one band (2.4 or 5 GHz) on FRITZ! products with Wi-Fi 7 if different names (SSIDs) were given to the two bands in the FRITZ!Box
  • Improved: higher Powerline stability
  • Improved: better Mesh integration
