FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C

TV channels are missing from the FRITZ!Repeater's channel list

After setting up television reception, not all of the free-to-air TV channels in your cable package are included in the FRITZ!Repeater's channel list.

1 Installing the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Repeater

Install the latest FRITZ!OS because it contains improvements that can resolve the error:

  1. Install the latest FRITZ!OS on the FRITZ!Repeater.

2 Checking whether a television can find additional TV channels

To test whether there is a problem with your cable connection, check whether a television connected to the same cable wall outlet can find the missing free-to-air TV channels:

  1. Connect a television to the same cable wall outlet and start a channel search with it. The procedure depends on the television. Refer to the manufacturer of the device for information on how to set it up, for example consult the manual.
  2. If the television is also not able to find all of the free-to-air TV channels, have your cable provider check your cable connection.

ATTENTION!You may be charged for checking. Ask your cable provider about charges in advance!

    • If the television finds all of the free-to-air TV channels, continue with the next section.

3 Connecting the FRITZ!Repeater directly to the cable wall outlet

To rule out a problem with the channel search, use the coaxial cable included with delivery to connect the FRITZ!Repeater directly to the cable wall outlet:

  1. Use the coaxial cable included with delivery to connect the FRITZ!Repeater without the T-adapter to the cable wall outlet.
  2. Click "DVB-C" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  3. Click "Channel Search" in the "DVB-C" menu.
  4. Click "Start Channel Search".

4 Starting the comprehensive channel search

  1. Click "DVB-C" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  2. Click "Channel Search" in the "DVB-C" menu.
  3. Enable the option "Comprehensive channel search".
  4. Click the "Start Channel Search" button.
  5. If channels are still missing after performing the channel search, click "More options", enable the option "Ignore NIT", and repeat the channel search.

5 Connecting the FRITZ!Repeater to the first cable wall outlet

If you have more than one cable wall outlet in your household, connect the FRITZ!Repeater to the first cable wall outlet (the one your cable provider considers the first) to rule out errors in the remaining cabling:

  1. Connect the FRITZ!Repeater to the first cable wall outlet in your home.
  2. Click "DVB-C" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  3. Click "Channel Search" in the "DVB-C" menu.
  4. Click "Start Channel Search".
  5. If the repeater can find additional channels when it is connected to the first cable wall outlet, you can have a television technician check the wiring in your home.
