Behavior of the FRITZ!Smart Gateway in case of power or internet failure

If the FRITZ!Box or FRITZ!Smart Gateway loses power, if there is no internet connection, or the Wi-Fi connection between the FRITZ!Box and the FRITZ!Smart Gateway is interrupted, the settings of the smart home devices remain intact, but automatic switching of the devices is limited. For example, routines can no longer be triggered and access via FRITZ!App Smart Home is not possible. If you would like to use a Wi-Fi schedule, connect the the FRITZ!Smart Gateway to your FRITZ!Box over LAN.

However, a functioning FRITZ!Box with an internet connection and a FRITZ!Smart Gateway connected via LAN or Wi-Fi are prerequisites for smooth and correct operation.
