Cannot register a FRITZ!DECT radiator control

Registration of FRITZ!DECT 300 to the FRITZ!Box fails. After inserting the batteries into the device, "PREP" and then "INST" are shown in the display, but the DECT connection is not established after you push the DECT button on the FRITZ!Box. The symbol for the radio connection is not permanently shown in the display of the radiator control. The error message "Could not complete registration of the FRITZ! actuator" is displayed in the FRITZ!Box.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

Simply proceed as described below. After each measure, check whether the problem is solved.

1 FRITZ!Box model is not supported

FRITZ!DECT 300 and FRITZ!DECT 301 cannot be used with FRITZ!Box 7412, 7312, 7330, 7330 SL, 7360 SL, 6360 Cable, or 6810 LTE.

2 Maximum number has been reached

You can register up to twelve radiator controls with the FRITZ!Box. If you have already registered twelve devices, you cannot register any more.

Note:Registering a radiator control does not reduce the number of telephones, DECT repeaters, or the number of smart plugs, for example FRITZ!DECT 200, that can be registered.
