Storage capacity of a USB storage device is displayed incorrectly
A computer displays a higher storage capacity (size) for a USB storage device connected to the FRITZ!Box and configured as a network drive than is actually available on the USB storage device.
Total capacity of storage devices connected to the FRITZ!Box is displayed
The FRITZ!Box makes its internal memory and all connected USB storage devices available for access via the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol in the home network in the network folder "\\fritz.box\FRITZ.NAS". If a subdirectory of this folder is set up as a network drive, the computer can only determine the storage capacity of the entire network folder.
The computer therefore displays the total storage capacity of all storage devices connected to the FRITZ!Box for all of the subdirectories configured as network drives, for example individual USB storage devices. This is not an error on the part of the FRITZ!Box.
