FRITZ!VPN reports "Installation ended prematurely because of an error"
Installation of the FRITZ!VPN or Configure FRITZ!Box VPN Connection software is aborted. The following error message is displayed:
"Installation ended prematurely because of an error."
Starting the installation with a parameter
- Click "Run" in the Windows start menu ("All programs" > "Accessories" >).
- Enter cmd in the "Open" field and click "OK".
- Enter cd \[path to directory with installation file] in the command prompt window and press Enter.
Example:
cd c:\Users\Admin\Downloads - Enter [name of installation file] /quiet in the command prompt window and follow the instructions on the screen.
