Using a computer or other device in the FRITZ!Box home network
You can easily connect a computer or other network device to your FRITZ!Box and then access the internet and devices on your home network with it. To do so, simply proceed as described below. If you are using one of the following devices, proceed as described in the corresponding guide instead:
- Using an Android smartphone or tablet in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using a Blu-ray player in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using a printer in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using a debit card reader with the FRITZ!Box
- Using a television in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using an internet radio receiver in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using an IP camera in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using an iPhone or iPad in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using a NAS system in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using a Nintendo Switch in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using a PlayStation in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using wireless speakers in the FRITZ!Box home network
- Using an Xbox in the FRITZ!Box home network
1 Configuring the device to automatically obtain IP settings
To ensure that the device always uses the correct IP settings, make sure that it automatically obtains its IP settings from the FRITZ!Box (this is the default setting for most devices):
- Configure the device to automatically obtain IP settings via DHCP.
2 Connecting the device to the FRITZ!Box
- Either use Wi-Fi or a network cable to connect the device to the home network of the FRITZ!Box.
