Configuring Telekom SIP trunking in the FRITZ!Box

In the FRITZ!Box you can set up Telekom SIP trunking with up to 20 telephone numbers that can be used to conduct several simultaneous calls. The FRITZ!Box supports the packages "Deutschland LAN SIP-Trunk Pooling", "Deutschland LAN SIP-Trunk", and the business package "Telekom CompanyFlex SIP-Trunk".

Requirements / Restrictions

  • The FRITZ!Box only supports the operating mode "Registered Mode". "Static Mode" is not supported.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

Configuring Telekom SIP trunking

  1. Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Telephone Numbers" in the "Telephony" menu.
  3. Click the "New Telephone Number" button.
  4. Select "Telekom SIP-Trunk" or "Telekom CompanyFlex SIP-Trunk" from the drop-down list.
  5. Enter the trunk number of the connection.
  6. Select the length of the longest internal extension number from the drop-down list.
  7. Enter the extension of the console (switchboard).
  8. Enter the other telephone numbers of your SIP trunk. You can enter up to 19 additional telephone numbers that you can use for telephones and other terminal devices connected to the FRITZ!Box.
  9. Enter your username and password in the section "Account Information".
  10. Click "Next" and follow the wizard's instructions.

Important:If your telephones do not ring when you receive calls although they are displayed in the FRITZ!Box Call List, enter a value of 5 seconds or more for the option "TK-Anlagen Rufaufbauüberwachung" in the Telekom "Kundencenter" (customer center).
