Editing VPN connections configured in the FRITZ!Box
You can edit the VPN connections configured in the FRITZ!Box as follows:
- IPSec connections to other FRITZ!Box networks (LAN-LAN linkup) and connections to a company VPN can be edited in the FRITZ!Box user interface under "Internet > Permit Access > VPN (IPSec)".
- IPSec connections that were created with the Configure FRITZ!Box VPN Connection software and imported into the FRITZ!Box can be edited on the computer with which they were created. You cannot edit these connections in the FRITZ!Box.
Note:Configure FRITZ!Box VPN Connection saves the VPN connection settings in:
C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\AVM - IPSec connections for FRITZ!Box users, for example for a mobile device or a computer with Linux or macOS, cannot be adjusted in the FRITZ!Box.
- In the case of WireGuard connections to individual devices, only the name of the connection can be changed under "Internet > Permit Access > VPN (WireGuard)" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- With WireGuard connections to other FRITZ!Box networks or a different router (LAN-LAN linkup), you can edit the name of the connection, the option "Allow NetBIOS over this connection", and the devices that can be accessed over the connection under "Internet > Permit Access > VPN (WireGuard)" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
If you want to adjust other settings, delete the VPN connection and then reconfigure the connection with the new settings.
