Using printers connected to FRITZ!Box with Apple iOS (e.g. iPhone)
You can only use a printer connected to the FRITZ!Box with an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch) if the printer is connected to the FRITZ!Box via Wi-Fi and supports Apple's Apple's AirPrint technology. Once it is set up as a network printer, you can use this printer with all of the iOS devices in the home network.
In contrast, printers that do not support AirPrint can only be used by iOS devices with the help of additional software such as handyPrint, O'Print, or Printopia. The software must be installed on a computer connected to the FRITZ!Box and configures it as an AirPrint server. From then on, the iOS device sends its print jobs to the computer's AirPrint server, which then forwards them to the printer connected to the FRITZ!Box.
