Revoking access rights to FRITZ!Box from a mobile device
You can easily revoke the rights to access your FRITZ!Box from the FRITZ!Apps installed on your mobile device by uninstalling the apps.
However, if the mobile device has been stolen or lost and it is no longer possible to uninstall the FRITZ!Apps, proceed as described in this guide to revoke the apps' rights to access your FRITZ!Box.
In this case we also recommend changing the Wi-Fi network key of the FRITZ!Box and deleting VPN connections configured for the mobile device in the FRITZ!Box.
Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.
1 Revoking rights from FRITZ!Apps
- Click "System" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "FRITZ!Box Users" in the "System" menu.
- Click on the "Apps" tab.
- Click the (Delete) button next to the app whose access rights you wish to revoke.
Note:FRITZ!Apps that are not displayed here do not have any rights to access the FRITZ!Box.
2 Deleting telephony device for FRITZ!App
If FRITZ!App Fon was installed on the mobile device, also delete the telephony device that was configured for the app:
- Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "Telephony Devices" in the "Telephony" menu.
- Click the (Delete) button next to the telephony device from FRITZ!App Fon that you want to delete.
3 Changing the Wi-Fi network key
- Click "Wi-Fi" ("Wireless") in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "Security" in the "Wi-Fi" ("Wireless") menu.
- Click on the "Encryption" tab.
- Enable the option "WPA encryption".
- Enter a new password in the "Wi-Fi network key" field. Use numerals, letters, and other characters, and mix upper and lower case letters.
- Click "Apply" to save the settings.
4 Deleting VPN connections
If IPSec or WireGuard VPN connections to the FRITZ!Box were configured on the mobile device, delete these VPN connections in the FRITZ!Box:
- Click "Internet" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click on "Permit Access" in the "Internet" menu.
- Click on the "VPN (IPSec)" tab.
- If a VPN connection is displayed for the mobile device, click the (delete) button next to the respective VPN connection.
- Click on the "VPN (WireGuard)" tab.
- If a VPN connection is displayed for the mobile device, click the (delete) button next to the respective VPN connection.
