What's new in the FRITZ!Apps: Heating control and live TV streaming
AVM Content
With each update, the FRITZ!Apps can do a little bit more. The latest updates for FRITZ!App Smart Home and FRITZ!App TV add new features to the apps: a number of heating modes that were previously only configurable in the FRITZ!Box interface are now available in the app and live TV streaming is now possible without a TV tuner.
FRITZ!App Smart Home: Configure your smart heating
A powerful update for the FRITZ!App Smart Home now allows you to comprehensively configure your FRITZ! radiator controls. In the FRITZ!App Smart Home you can now edit and customize heating plans. Convenient menu prompts, optimized for touchscreens, make it easy to set the temperatures you want. You can also set the desired and cool-down temperatures.
You can now also carry out the following settings in the app:
- External temperature sensors and offset settings: Precise temperature control thanks to the ability to integrate external temperature sensors. In addition, users can individually adjust the measured temperature on the radiator control to compensate for fluctuations.
- Open window detection: The sensitivity and valve closing time of the radiator controls can now be configured in the FRITZ!App Smart Home.
- Operation lock / keylock: Protection against unwanted changes to the heating controls by locking the buttons, ideal for households with children.
To set up and use the new features for FRITZ! radiator controls, you'll need to have FRITZ!OS 8 on your FRITZ!Box.
Watch TV online with FRITZ!App TV
No matter which FRITZ!Box you use: with the FRITZ!App TV you can now stream public broadcasters from anywhere. Commercial television channels are only available together with a FRITZ!Box Cable – if you have a cable model, you can continue to watch these channels in the usual quality.
