Mesh Wi-Fi setup – easy with FRITZ!

Set up Mesh Wi-Fi quickly and simply. Press two buttons and Wi-Fi Mesh in your FRITZ!Box is ready for use. With Mesh, your Wi-Fi reaches to all corners and you benefit from ideal connection of your devices.

Integrate a new FRITZ!Repeater into the Mesh Wi-Fi

You can integrate a new FRITZ!Repeater into the Mesh Wi-Fi in just two steps.

  1. Briefly hold down the “Connect” button on the FRITZ!Repeater (LED flashes).
  2. Within two minutes, activate Mesh on your FRITZ!Box by pressing the “Connect” button (it might be labeled “WPS” or “Connect/WPS”). If your FRITZ!Box has the button “WLAN” or “WLAN/WPS”, hold down that button for about six seconds.

Now the new FRITZ!Repeater receives all major settings from the Mesh Master. Within a few seconds, it is ready for use.

Did you know ...?

  • FRITZ!Powerline devices with Wi-Fi also support Mesh Wi-Fi.
  • You can use a second FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater.

What are the advantages of Mesh Wi-Fi?

FRITZ! products in Mesh apply settings from the Mesh Master, usually from FRITZ!Box at the internet connection. Dynamic smart repeating automatically optimizes the connection of all devices registered in the Mesh and uses all available Wi-Fi frequency bands – for higher data throughput and more stability. FRITZ!Box, FRITZ!Repeater and FRITZ!Powerline ensure optimal Wi-Fi in your home network.

The Mesh icon and the Home Network overview

Take a look at the Mesh Overview in the user interface of your FRITZ!Box. There you will see the currently connected devices and the speed at which they are operating in the Mesh. The Mesh icon next to the FRITZ! products shows that the Mesh connection is active.

This information also is available on your smartphone in the MyFRITZ!App. Open the MyFRITZ!App and navigate to the “Home Network” area to display the Mesh Overview.
