For many, Christmas is a time of contemplation and spending a few quiet days with family and loved ones. To make this time of year even more festive, here are four tips for your home network.

1) Christmas ringtone on FRITZ!Fon

"We Wish You A Merry Christmas" is what you could be hearing when your family calls you on your FRITZ!Fon. Or would you like a different song? All you need is an MP3 of the song and you're good to go.

Open your FRITZ!Box user interface and navigate to "Telephony > Telephony Devices". Click on the Edit icon for the desired phone and open the "Ringtones" tab. You can now add your own ringtone.

2) Christmas lights with FRITZ!DECT 500

Do you like to hang up string lights for your indoor or outdoor festive decorations? The FRITZ!DECT 200 smart plug for indoors and the FRITZ!DECT 210 smart plug for outdoors help you switch your Christmas lights on and off, and can be controlled by schedules or events if you so desire.

3) A comfortable temperature throughout the home with FRITZ!DECT 302

Want to warm up quickly after a long Christmas stroll? Thanks to the FRITZ!DECT 302 smart radiator control, you always have the perfect temperature in every room: would you like the living room to be a few degrees warmer so that it's extra cozy, and a little colder in the bedroom to help you sleep better? No problem at all thanks to individually configurable heating plans and adjustable comfort and cool-down temperatures.

4) Wi-Fi guest access for Christmas parties

Are you expecting guests over the holidays? Then simply share your Wi-Fi guest access with them, for example via QR code: Your guests then only have to scan this with their smartphone and they're connected to the Wi-Fi.
