AVM with innovative solutions for 10G fibre optics, 5G and Mesh Wi-Fi at MWC

True to our slogan “FRITZ! Connects”, at MWC 2025 from 3 to 6 March AVM will be showing the latest FRITZ! products for fast internet via 5G and fibre optics as well as long-range Mesh Wi-Fi. As a European manufacturer, AVM knows the demands of the various broadband networks, and offers FRITZ!Box models which are easy to deploy both on the network end as well as by the end customer and provide the highest performance. Connected directly to the fibre optic network, to the fibre optic modem, or for 5G, providers can supply their customers with ultra-fast internet through the new models FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS, FRITZ!Box 4690, and FRITZ!Box 6860 5G. The high-end features including strong Wi-Fi, fast VPN, versatile smart home functions, and telephony, brings users the highest convenience for many applications at home like surfing, gaming, and video conferences. In Barcelona AVM is also presenting new Mesh Wi-Fi solutions like the FRITZ! Mesh  Set 4200, which runs on every internet modem and offers a substantial Wi-Fi range. The two new Wi-Fi 7 repeaters will also be presented, FRITZ!Repeater 1700 and FRITZ!Repeater 2700, which work with FRITZ!Box or another router to bring the internet to every last corner of the home. FRITZ!Box models for 10G fibre optic speeds: Direct on the connection or on the fibre optic modem

The new FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS is designed for the XGS-PON standard, which allows for speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s via fibre optics. With powerful Wi-Fi 7, a 10 gigabit WAN/LAN port, and the full range of telephony, Smart Home, and networking features familiar from FRITZ!Box, it is the fibre gateway for all digital applications at home. Users who already have a fibre optic modem installed can use the new FRITZ!Box 4690 as a router to further increase Wi-Fi performance. It features not only top-line 10-Gbit/s WAN, but also a 10-Gbit/s interface as well as three 2.5-Gbit/s LAN ports and high-end Wi-Fi 7 for optimal distribution. With its familiar features like VPN, smart home, telephony, parental controls, and a firewall, the FRITZ!Box 4690 leaves nothing to be desired in modern households.

5G speed for the home and on the go

The already available FRITZ!Box 6860 5G offers fast internet over the mobile network through a Wi-Fi hotspot and telephony functions. The device can be used both inside and outside thanks to its modern 5G technology and robust design. It supports both 5G (NSA, SA) and LTE and achieves data throughput rates of up to 1.3 gigabits per second. What is more, its powerful Mesh Wi-Fi compliant with the Wi-Fi 6 standard can distribute data throughout the home, while its DECT base station can be used for telephony and smart home applications. Thanks to its compact housing and power and data supply via Power over Ethernet (PoE), it can be positioned practically anywhere. In combination with another FRITZ!Box, the FRITZ!Box 6860 5G can also be deployed as a fallback solution for unstable landline connections.

High range: New FRITZ!Repeaters for Wi-Fi 7

In Barcelona AVM is presenting the FRITZ!Repeater 1700 and the FRITZ!Repeater 2700, two new models that support the Wi-Fi 7 standard. Even in labyrinthine apartments or over multiple storeys, it is child's play for the Mesh repeaters to expand the Wi-Fi range for surfing pleasure in every room. As part of a powerful Mesh system, the FRITZ!Repeaters provide for a stable internet connection with improvements to latency, speed, and throughput. They can be deployed flexibly and are compatible with routers from other manufacturers. And the free FRITZ!App Wi-Fi helps you find the ideal location.

The complete Wi-Fi package: the new FRITZ!Mesh  Set 4200

The new item on the AVM Mesh Wi-Fi product catalogue is the far-reaching FRITZ!Mesh Set 4200. The Mesh Wi-Fi set contains the tried and tested FRITZ!Repeater 3000AX with Wi-Fi 6 and will be available as a set of two or three devices. The FRITZ!Mesh Sets can be deployed anywhere and connected with a FRITZ!Box, another router, or directly to a fibre optic modem. They offer a flexible, scalable Mesh system for strong Wi-Fi along with typical FRITZ! functions like guest access, switching schedules, and parental controls.
