At IFA 2024, AVM is announcing the expansion and renaming of its smart home portfolio. FRITZ!DECT will be renamed to FRITZ!Smart in the near future. Otherwise, everything will remain typically FRITZ!: sophisticated technology, high levels of convenience, versatile applications, and ease of use. At IFA, AVM is presenting FRITZ!Smart 250 for the first time, a sensor for digital electricity meters. Smart Home, when the technology behind it is done right, makes life easier. Studies show that four aspects are particularly important to users: The products must be easy to use and safe. They should also increase convenience and be energy efficient, keeping electricity costs down. With the FRITZ!Box and FRITZ!Smart products, AVM is targeting precisely these needs. A number of smart scenarios can be implemented via the LAN, Wi-Fi, Powerline, Zigbee, DECT and Matter connection paths. With FRITZ!Box so widespread in Germany and Europe, it's easy for many users to start making their house a smart home. The FRITZ!Box is the heart of the smart FRITZ! home network. The FRITZ!Box models communicate with the devices in the home network via the DECT ULE and Zigbee wireless communication standards, enabling smart interaction between all products. In addition, the FRITZ!Smart Gateway can be used to integrate Zigbee devices into the smart home or, thanks to Matter, even control FRITZ!Smart devices via apps from third-party manufacturers. AVM also offers a wide range of options for smart home networking, including smart plugs, intelligent switches, smart radiator controls and current sensors, and the FRITZ!App Smart Home.

IFA premiere: the FRITZ!Smart Energy 250 current sensor

With the new sensor, users can monitor and evaluate their electricity costs and thus optimize energy costs. The FRITZ!Smart Energy 250 connects to the FRITZ!Box via DECT and can be magnetically attached to a digital electricity meter. It reads the live energy data from the meter via infrared and shares this output with the FRITZ! Smart Home. Users can then monitor the data and evaluate it at different intervals in FRITZ!OS or MyFRITZ!Net.

Smart plugs for convenience and energy efficiency: FRITZ!Smart Energy 200 und 210

With FRITZ!Smart Energy 200 and FRITZ!Smart Energy 210 for outdoors, users can cleverly control the power supply of connected devices, and can measure, record and evaluate their power consumption. The smart plug is securely encrypted and integrated into the home network via the DECT communication standard. It can be easily controlled with a PC, notebook, smartphone or tablet – even on the move via the internet.

Save on heating costs with the FRITZ!Smart Thermo 302 smart radiator control

FRITZ!Smart Thermo 302 is the smart radiator control for users to manage the room temperature automatically and precisely and save on energy costs. It's very easy to use via FRITZ!Box, FRITZ!Fon or even when on the go with FRITZ!App Smart Home.

FRITZ!Smart Control 350 door/window sensor and FRITZ!Smart Control 440 four-way switch

The FRITZ!Smart Control 350 door and window contact detects open doors and windows This means heating costs can be saved in conjunction with FRITZ! radiator controls, and users can also use scenes and routines to switch on/off via FRITZ!Smart Energy devices and compatible Zigbee devices. With the FRITZ!Smart Control 440 four-way switch users have the ideal remote control for the smart home. It has a temperature sensor for managing the FRITZ! radiator controls and the central display means users can always see what's going on in their smart home.

FRITZ!Smart Light 500, the smart LED light

The FRITZ!Smart Light 500 LED light for color and white lighting supports the DECT ULE standard and is easily integrated into the FRITZ! home network at the touch of a button. Together with a FRITZ!Smart Light 500, the FRITZ!Box becomes the hub of an intelligent lighting system.

Versatile applications with the FRITZ!Smart Gateway Zigbee/Matter base station

The FRITZ!Smart Gateway makes it easy to integrate Zigbee-compatible LED lights and products into the FRITZ! Smart Home and connects networks that use the Matter standard. In addition, the FRITZ!Smart Gateway doubles the number of maximum possible smart home devices and connects to the FRITZ!Box quickly and easily.
