New FRITZ!Box models for powerful connections and maximum demands in broadband internet and at home

Under the motto "Powerful Connections," AVM is presenting new, high-performance products for fiber optics, cable and DSL at the Network X industry event in Paris, which meet maximum demands both at the broadband connection and in the distribution of the data itself. The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro sets new standards in home networking by combining Wi-Fi 7 with a range of networking options and Smart Home. The innovative tri-band wireless router can be used on both fiber optic and DSL connections, making it perfect for all regions where fiber has yet to be rolled out. For cable connections, AVM is presenting the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable, which ensures gigabit speeds in the home network. The future-proof all-in-one router brings the new Wi-Fi 7 wireless standard to cable connections and also comes with a 2.5 gigabit LAN port and four LAN ports. DSL also gets a new model. With its support for G.fast , the new FRITZ!Box 7682 is capable of maximum speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s on a DSL connection. The new model for G.fast providers has a strong feature set and can be used on all existing DSL connections, including 35b supervectoring, vectoring and VDSL. Since the three new FRITZ!Box models support the next-generation Wi-Fi 7 - in addition to Wi-Fi 6 and Mesh Wi-Fi - the increasing number of wireless devices in the home network will be well served in the long term. And even more devices can now be integrated into the Smart Home, as the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro and FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable now also support Zigbee in addition to the DECT ULE standard. AVM will be presenting the new products at Network X in hall 7.3, stand B2.

Tri-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 7 and the latest Mesh technology: FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro for fiber optics and DSL

The new FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro is the new premium model for top speeds, functionality and unique stability in the home network on both AON/GPON fiber optic and DSL connections, including 35b supervectoring up to 300 MBit/s. The combination of the two connection types makes the model, which is as powerful as it is innovative, suitable for all locations where the switch from DSL to fiber optics is yet to happen. In addition to the current Wi-Fi 6 wireless standard, the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro already supports the next-generation Wi-Fi 7, so that customers are doubly prepared for the future with this model. Thanks to improvements in latency, speed and stability as well as a new third Wi-Fi frequency band (6 GHz), the new 4x4 tri-band Mesh router already meets the high demands of tomorrow's wireless communication. A 2.5 gigabit LAN/WAN port and 4 LAN ports with 1 Gbit/s also meet all requirements for wired networking. In addition to the upright design, support for the Zigbee radio standard is also new. With DECT ULE, Zigbee and, in the future, Matter, the possibilities for users in the Smart Home are almost limitless.

Premiere: FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable brings Wi-Fi 7 and Zigbee to cable connections

The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable brings the new Wi-Fi 7 wireless standard to cable connections. As a fast and future-proof all-in-one router, the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable ensures that cable customers can fully enjoy the benefits of their connection. With the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable's powerful Wi-Fi and its ultra-fast 2.5 gigabit LAN port and four additional LAN ports, users can access incredibly fast and stable connections throughout the home. The latest Mesh Wi-Fi technology, a comprehensive telephone system, and the many features typical of FRITZ!Box, such as secure remote access and parental controls, round out the portfolio of the new FRITZ!Box Cable. In addition to the DECT ULE standard, the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable also supports the Zigbee Smart Home standard, which means a number of other devices can be integrated into the Smart Home. In addition, the new, white and flat cable model has a built-in TV tuner that enables television signals to be streamed in the home network via Wi-Fi.

Where the fiber optic network reaches the basement of an apartment building or residential complex, the challenge is to bring the high speeds into the home network. AVM has developed the new FRITZ!Box 7682 for precisely for this scenario. The new DSL model for providers supports G.fast and 35b supervectoring, so that the high fiber speed reaches the apartment via existing copper lines. With G.fast, speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s are possible and up to 300 Mbit/s with 35b supervectoring. The new FRITZ!Box 7682 is perfectly tailored to these DSL expansion phases and guarantees compatibility with all existing DSL connections such as vectoring and VDSL.
