The new FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX WLAN Set combines powerful powerline technology with Wi-Fi 6, easily extending the range of the home network. If the walls are too thick and the distances in the home too great, but you still want to surf and stream in faraway rooms, this is where the new FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX comes in. It's perfectly tuned to the Mesh of the FRITZ!Box and brings data to their destination over the power lines with speeds of up to 1,200 Mbit/s and via Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4 GHz at up to 600 Mbit/s. Thanks to FRITZ!OS and Mesh Wi-Fi, FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX is integrated into the home network at the touch of a button and opens up a seamless Wi-Fi network with other FRITZ! products. Using powerline technology compliant with the HomePlug AV2 standard and Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4 GHz, the home network can also extend to rooms where users never had wireless access before. This way users can easily set up the gaming room in their basement, or relax while streaming videos in the garden house, enjoying the full benefits of the FRITZ! digital home network. FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX is now available in Germany as a set with FRITZ!Powerline 1210 (RRP 169 euros).

Long range and high speeds anywhere in the home network

The powerline standard is based on the HomePlug AV2 standard: This gigabit powerline technology makes it possible to use all three wires of the power line (phase, neutral and protective) for data transmission, thus distributing packets quickly and robustly across the home power grid. This enables a data transfer rate of up to 1,200 Mbit/s, which the Powerline Set can pass on to network devices via gigabit LAN ports and Wi-Fi 6. The set has a total of four LAN ports: two on the FRITZ!Powerline 1210 and two on the FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX. Data can also be sent to a variety of devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, printers or laptops in parallel via Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz at up to 600 Mbit/s. The Powerline Set easily provides rooms that are difficult or impossible to reach via Wi-Fi or LAN bridge with access to the digital home network. Gaming in the basement, streaming in the garden shed or working from home are all very easy.

Efficient, safe, reliable – Powerline with FRITZ!

The Powerline Set is designed for the best performance with maximum energy efficiency. Power consumption during the frequent standby condition is only 4.5 watts (1240 AX) or 2.4 watts (1210). During operation the power consumption increases to a total of just around 3 watts. The FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX also supports WPA3, the latest Wi-Fi encryption standard, and is therefore extremely secure. All FRITZ!Powerline products allow the user to monitor the home network and the powerline network in the FRITZ!Box user interface or a special software package (for Windows and macOS). The FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX has its own interface for configuration, operation and maintenance (http://fritz.powerline), which can be protected with a password. Thanks to FRITZ!OS, the product is perfectly coordinated with other FRITZ! devices - such as FRITZ!Repeaters or other FRITZ!Powerline products - and seamlessly complements an existing Mesh Wi-Fi. The FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX also receives long-term product support with regular free updates for more security and new features.
