Better performance in Mesh Wi-Fi: Major update now available for all current FRITZ!Repeaters

Effective immediately, the major FRITZ!OS 7.5 update with more than 150 new features and improvements for FRITZ!Box models is available for all current FRITZ!Repeaters in Version 7.56. In addition to extra security and stability, the update brings improved Wi-Fi performance to the FRITZ!Repeaters. Recently awarded top marks from "Stiftung Warentest", the largest independent testing institute for consumer products in Germany, FRITZ! Mesh Wi-Fi gets a performance boost from the new dynamic Smart Repeating. Users can get the new version by clicking on “Start Update” in the user interface at “fritz.box” or “fritz.repeater”, or receive it automatically if the Automatic Update function is enabled. Better performance in WLAN Mesh

As of Version 7.5, FRITZ!OS brings higher performance to the Mesh Wi-Fi of the FRITZ! home network with dynamic Smart Repeating. Users operating a FRITZ!Repeater or a FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater benefit from higher data throughput and greater stability on their wireless connections. With the new FRITZ!OS version, both frequency bands (2.4 and 5 GHz) are used even more dynamically to optimally connect FRITZ!Box with the Mesh Repeater.

"Stiftung Warentest" says WLAN Mesh solution from AVM is best

“The best Mesh Wi-Fi comes from FRITZ!“ declared "Stiftung Warentest" in a comparison test of eight Mesh Wi-Fi systems. The independent institution first added Mesh systems to its product categories in January 2023. A Mesh system provides the entire home with Wi-Fi.
