10G, Wi-Fi 7 and Zigbee - FRITZ!Box Fiber of the future at the FTTH Conference 2023

Berlin | At the FTTH Conference 2023 from 18 to 20 April in Madrid, AVM will present what the future generation of FRITZ!Box Fiber will offer. The two new fiber optic models for gamers, home office heroes and binge-watchers can easily distribute the fastest fiber optic internet in the home network - with the new Wi-Fi 7 already on board. With the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, users get a device that supports DSL in addition to fiber optics (AON and GPON), making it ideal for fiber expansion areas. AVM is also launching the FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS with up to 10 Gbit/s for the particularly fast XGS-PON connection technology. In addition to Wi-Fi 7, the two new FRITZ!Box devices also offer Zigbee for the first time and are prepared for Matter - for even more possibilities in the Smart Home. With the FRITZ!Box directly on the fiber optic connection, users get an energy-efficient and future-proof solution that has a wide range of networking options. At the international trade fair for all things fiber, in hall 9, stand G11, AVM will also be presenting the two currently available fiber optic models FRITZ!Box 5590 Fiber and 5530 Fiber as well as the current product portfolio for fast internet, powerful Mesh Wi-Fi and Smart Home. Broadband future with FRITZ! innovations
With the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, AVM is combining DSL and fiber optics (AON and GPON) in one model for the first time. The device thus ensures fast internet access and offers flexibility for regions where fiber optic connections have yet to be rolled out. The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro transmits on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, the new frequency range for Wi-Fi, where the highest transmission rates are achieved with a particularly large channel bandwidth. In addition to the current Wi-Fi 6 standard, the device already supports the upcoming Wi-Fi 7 with improvements in latency, speed and robustness on all bands. For the Smart Home, the new FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro in the new, upright housing also offers Zigbee for the first time and is also prepared for Matter. AVM is introducing the FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS especially for the ultra-fast XGS-PON fiber connection. With powerful Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6, a 10 gigabit WAN/LAN port and the familiar wide range of FRITZ! features for telephony, Smart Home and networking, it is the digital gateway for all applications in the home network. It also supports Zigbee and is compatible with the Matter standard.
