Renowned consumer organization awards 2023's best Wi-Fi routers and mesh systems

Whether DSL, cable or Mesh Wi-Fi: The FRITZ! products from AVM are simply unbeatable. This is the result of tests carried out by "Stiftung Warentest," the largest independent testing institute for consumer products in Germany. After extensively testing a range of Wi-Fi routers and mesh systems, "Stiftung Warentest" awarded no less than five products from AVM. "Stiftung Warentest" is known for its extensive and complex quality tests and is involved in important international consumer organizations such as the ICRT, which test products and of which "Consumer Reports" is also a member.

Among Wi-Fi routers, AVM took first place with three FRITZ!Box models, while two FRITZ!Repeaters received top marks in the panel for Mesh Wi-Fi. Eight devices were tested in the router comparison test, seven for DSL connections and one for cable connections. All three tested FRITZ!Box models, the FRITZ!Box 7590 AX, 7530 AX and 6690 Cable,  received the quality rating "good" with a grade of 1.9. The "Stiftung Warentest" also tested ten Mesh Wi-Fi systems. FRITZ!Repeater 6000 and FRITZ!Repeater 1200 AX each received the quality rating "good" and with the grade 2.0 the best rating in the entire Mesh Wi-Fi test field. The "Stiftung Warentest" writes, "In the test, these two Wi-Fi extension solutions from AVM are the best". And unlike other systems, the FRITZ!Repeaters offer an automatic update function for added security.

The three FRITZ!Box models build on previous test wins: following on from comparison tests in 2012´, 2017 and 2020, this is AVM's fourth triple success from the "Stiftung Warentest". The three FRITZ!Box models are the only products to receive the rating "very good" three times, in the categories ease-of-use, security and telephony. All three have "very good security features". The power consumption is also outstanding: According to the "Stiftung Warentest", both the FRITZ!Box 7530 AX and the FRITZ!Repeater 1200 AX are “particularly efficient”.
