AVM at the Broadband World Forum 2021

FRITZ! product launches for cable internet and Wi-Fi 6

In keeping with the slogan "Gigabit Power. Smart Wi-Fi." AVM will be presenting solutions for a powerful home network for broadband connections at this year's Broadband World Forum (BBWF). These include the new FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable and the FRITZ!Box 4060 tri-band wireless router, which are being presented for the first time.

In keeping with the slogan "Gigabit Power. Smart Wi-Fi." AVM will be presenting solutions for a powerful home network for broadband connections at this year's Broadband World Forum (BBWF). These include the new FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable and the FRITZ!Box 4060 tri-band wireless router, which are being presented for the first time. Like the FRITZ!Box 7590 AX for DSL, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber for all common fiber optic connections in Europe and the tri-band FRITZ!Repeater 6000, the two new products are equipped with innovative Mesh technology and Wi-Fi 6. This enables users to integrate even more devices into their home network without the fuss of cables and enjoy the benefits of Wi-Fi over a large area, including gigabit speeds in the wireless home. The new FRITZ!Box 6850 5G will also be shown off at the BBWF. It's an all-in-one router for 5G and offers versatile networking in the smart home. Trade visitors attending the physical event at the RAI in Amsterdam (13-14 October) will be able to experience the equally powerful and versatile FRITZ! products for cable, fiber, DSL and 5G in person. In addition, AVM will be presenting the products as part of the virtual BBWF (11-15 October).

 

FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable - High-performance cable internet

The FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable – the new top model with Wi-Fi 6 for cable internet – is celebrating its launch at this year's BBWF. With support for 2x2 OFDM (A) channel bonding according to DOCSIS 3.1, the FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable achieves top speeds of up to 6 Gbit/s downstream and 2 Gbit/s upstream. Thanks to the powerful 4 x 4 Wi-Fi 6, the new FRITZ!Box can also make gigabit speeds available to multiple devices in the home network. The combination of Wi-Fi 6 and AVM's Mesh Wi-Fi technology gives all devices at home stable Wi-Fi, even in large apartments or houses. The FRITZ! Box 6690 also scores highly when it comes to connection options, with one 2.5 gigabit and three gigabit LAN ports as well as two USB 3.0 ports. Network devices such as storage media and printers can thus be easily integrated into the home network. The extensive range of features includes Smart Home features and a complete telephone system (DECT, IP, analog), including answering machines with useful functions such as call forwarding, which make life easier for users, not least when working from home.

 

FRITZ!Box 4060 - Wireless router with Wi-Fi 6 and DECT for telephony and Smart Home

With the FRITZ!Box 4060, AVM is presenting a tri-band wireless router for Wi-Fi 6 for the first time. It's perfect for connecting to an existing fiber-optic or cable modem. The FRITZ!Box is equipped with three radio units and a total of 12 antennas, meaning Wi-Fi data rates of up to 6 Gbit/s are possible. The tri-band FRITZ!Box 4060 meets even the highest demands when it comes to Wi-Fi and gets the most out of smartphones and other latest-generation mobile devices thanks to Wi-Fi 6. Together with the tri-band FRITZ!Repeater 6000, the new FRITZ!Box 4060 forms an ideal Mesh system for large-area Wi-Fi for multiple devices. The FRITZ!Box 4060 in a new white, upright design is equipped with a 2.5 gigabit WAN connection as well as three additional gigabit LAN ports and a USB 3.0 port. In addition, the FRITZ!Box 4060 is the first model in the FRITZ!Box 4000 series to support DECT. This gives users a powerful wireless router with a complete telephone system and the option of using all FRITZ! Smart Home products. Other features include typical FRITZ!Box functions such as extensive parental controls, a media server for photos, music, and videos, as well as Wi-Fi guest access and remote access via MyFRITZ!.
