Determining the MAC address of the FRITZ!Repeater

A MAC address (Media Access Control address) is the hardware address of a network interface (for example Wi-Fi) and serves as a unique identifier of a device in a network. Each of the FRITZ!Repeater's network interfaces has its own MAC address.

The FRITZ!Repeater uses the MAC addresses for

  • the Wi-Fi connection to the wireless router.
  • wireless devices connected to the Wi-Fi network of the repeater.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest firmware for the FRITZ!Repeater.

1 Determining the MAC address

  1. Click "Wi-Fi" ("Wireless") in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  2. Click "Monitor" in the "Wi-Fi" menu.
  3. Make note of the corresponding "WLAN MAC Address" in the "Local WLAN Information" section.
