Connecting FRITZ!Powerline with a powerline network
FRITZ!Powerline adapters are already protected by a unique network key in the factory settings. To connect them, they need to have the same password.
If you want to use two FRITZ!Powerline adapters from a set, no further steps are necessary. Both FRITZ!Powerline adapters already use the same password and can therefore form a small powerline network right away.
If you want to connect individual FRITZ!Powerline adapters with each other or add them to an already existing FRITZ!Powerline network, set up the connection quickly and securely at the push of a button.
Connecting FRITZ!Powerline adapters with each other by button
- Plug the FRITZ!Powerline adapter that you want to add to the powerline network into an outlet near a FRITZ!Powerline adapter that is already part of the powerline network.
- Wait until the FRITZ!Powerline adapter is ready for operation and the Connect LED starts flashing slowly or the Power LED or WLAN LED remains lit.
- Briefly push the Connect button (see table) on both FRITZ!Powerline adapters. You can push the button on whichever FRITZ!Powerline adapter you want first. The Powerline LED flashes when you release it. Depending on the FRITZ!Powerline model, several other LEDs flash at the same time.
