Saving new telephone book entries with FRITZ!Fon

With FRITZ!Fon, you can create new telephone book entries by making a new entry or copying a number from the telephone's call list to the FRITZ!Box's telephone book.

Requirements / Restrictions

  • FRITZ!Fon only supports the character sets ISO 8859-1 and ISO 8859-15. FRITZ!Fon cannot display other character sets correctly.

1 Saving a new telephone book entry

  1. Press the "Menu" key on the telephone.
  2. Scroll to "Telephone book" and press "OK".
  3. Press the right select key "Options".
  4. Select "New Entry".
  5. Enter the name. You can use the menu key to switch between upper case letters, lower case letters, or numbers. The current text entry mode is shown at the bottom right of the display.
  6. Select the type of number (home, office, or mobile) and enter the telephone number.
  7. Click "OK" to save the settings.

2 Saving numbers from the call list

  1. Press the "Menu" key on the telephone.
  2. Scroll to "Call list" and press "OK".
  3. Select a call list ("Missed ...", "Accepted ..", or "Outgoing...").
  4. Select a telephone number.
  5. Press the right select key "Options".
  6. Select "Copy" and then press "OK".
  7. Select an existing entry or select "New Entry" to add an entry to the telephone book and press "OK".
  8. Only for new telephone book entries: Enter the name of the caller.
  9. Select the type of number (home, office, or mobile) and press "Add".
  10. Click "OK" to save the settings.
