FRITZ!Fon reports "format error"

When you try to listen to web radio or podcasts with a FRITZ!Fon, the message "format error" is displayed on the telephone's display and playback fails.

1 Format is not supported

The web radio station or podcast was recorded in a format that is not supported by your FRITZ!Fon, for example "wma" or "asf". The FRITZ!Fon can only play web radio stations or podcasts that are recorded in the playlist format "pls" or "m3u" and point to an mp3 stream.
