Setting up group switching for FRITZ!DECT radiator controls
You can combine several radiator controls, for example FRITZ!DECT 302, into a group and then easily control several radiators in the same room together.
Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.
1 Creating a group
- Click "Smart Home" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "Devices and Groups" or "Groups and Templates" in the "Smart Home" menu.
- Click on the "Create Group" button.
- Enable the corresponding group of devices.
- Enter a name for the group and select the devices you want to switch together in the group.
- Click "Finished" or "Next" to save the settings. The group is then created.
2 Controlling a group with radiator controls
Radiator controls that you have grouped together can either be controlled automatically or manually:
Automatically controlling a group with a radiator control
- Click "Smart Home" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "Devices and Groups" or "Groups and Templates" in the "Smart Home" menu.
- Click the (Edit) button for the group you want to set up automatic switching for.
- Set up the desired time and vacation switching.
- Under "Heating off" or "Heating ended", define when the radiator should not heat.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the settings.
Manually controlling a group with a radiator control
- Click "Smart Home" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "Operation" in the "Smart Home" menu.
- Click the plus or minus that corresponds to the group to change the temperature of the group.
Note:You can also manually switch the radiator group with a FRITZ!Fon (Menu "Home Network > Smart Home"), a FRITZ!DECT 440, or use FRITZ!App Smart Home to switch it in the home network or over the internet. If you are using a FRITZ!Box with FRITZ!OS 7.50 or later, you can use routines and FRITZ!DECT 350.
Temperature changes to an individual radiator control in the group are automatically transmitted to the entire group.
