MagentaCLOUD cannot be configured in the FRITZ!Box
MagentaCLOUD from Telekom cannot be configured in the FRITZ!Box as online storage. This means that it is also no longer possible to access media sources in the MagentaCLOUD via the FRITZ!Box media server.
Cause
- Telekom updated MagentaCLOUD and changed how files are made available, plus many MagentaCLOUD functions were adapted.
1 Configuring a WebDAV password for the MagentaCLOUD
- Configuring a separate WebDAV password for the MagentaCLOUD. A WebDAV password is required by Telekom for the FRITZ!Box to log in. For this, follow the instructions given in the guide Wie richte ich mein Netzlaufwerk ein?.
2 Using "other provider" to configure MagentaCLOUD
- Click "Home Network" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "USB / Storage" in the "Home Network" menu.
- Enable the option "Online storage enabled".
- Select "other provider" from the drop-down list "WebDAV provider".
- Enter https://magentacloud.de/remote.php/webdav in the field "WebDAV URL".
- Enter your Telekom login in the field "Username".
- Enter the separate WebDAV password for the MagentaCLOUD in the "Password" field.
- Click on "Apply" to save the settings.
Now you can access MagentaCLOUD via the FRITZ!Box. However, it is still not possible to access media sources in the MagentaCLOUD via the FRITZ!Box media server.
Note:We are currently investigating whether we can again make it possible to access media sources in the MagentaCLOUD via the FRITZ!Box media server in a future FRITZ!OS.
