WireGuard setup in the FRITZ!Box freezes

Configuration of a WireGuard VPN connection cannot be completed. After clicking "Finish", the FRITZ!Box does not display the page with the QR code and the settings file; instead, it freezes at the message "Applying your settings. Please wait a moment. Please wait ...".

1 Configuring the WireGuard Connection in the hone network

The first WireGuard connection must be set up locally in the FRITZ!Box home network. After at least one WireGuard connection has been set up in the FRITZ!Box, additional connections can also be set up via MyFRITZ! or VPN.

  1. Set up the WireGuard connection when the device is in the FRITZ!Box home network.
